  Married: Alexander and Howell McLemore married sisters, the daughters of John W. WOODFORD; Alexander married Sarah M. WOODFORD upon a marriage bond issued to them on July 16, 1842 (Southampton Marriage Register, p. 520), upon which Howell was security, and Howell married Lucy I. WOODFORD upon a bond issued December 18, 1842 (Southampton Marriage Register, p. 525), upon which his brother James was security. It is said that neither of these marriages resulted in children.
