  Notes	Avid family historian and compiler of a detailed Beznoska genealogy. Obituary Caroline Mastny was born May 22, 1918 at home in North Bend, Nebraska to John and Lilly (Beznoska) Tomasek. She married Louis Mastny February 14, 1946. They later divorced and Caroline moved to Schuyler in 1979. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Schuyler. Caroline enjoyed cooking, baking and taking care of her flowers and garden. She is survived by nephews: Randy (Sharon) Tomasek of Schuyler, Richard (Marci) Tomasek of Craig, Steven (Billy) Tomasek of Hordville. Nieces Jeannie (Ron) Marquardt of Arlington, Victoria Tomasek of Florida. Sister-in-law Virginia Tomasek of North Bend. Nine great nephews and three great nieces.   	Honored on Golden Wedding Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. John Tomasek Jr. celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Tuesday, March 5 at their home, with a dinner for relatives and a party in the evening for neighbors and friends. The couple was married March 5, 1913 in Fremont. Their attendants were Miss Anna Soukup of Cedar Bluffs and the late brother of the bride, Louis Beznoska. They moved to a farm northwest of North Bend were they are still living. Mrs. and Mrs. Tomasek have three children: a daughter, Mrs. Louis Mastny of Schuyler, and two sons, Leonard and Leland of North Bend. They have four grandchildren, Richard, Randy, Vicki Jean and Jeannie Lynn. Couple celebrate 65th Mr. and Mrs. John Tomasek celebrated their Wedding Anniversary Sunday with a dinner in the home of their son, Mrs. and Mrs. Leland Tomasek and family. Also hosting the event were the couples other children, Mrs. and Mrs. Louis (Caroline) Mastny of Schuyler, and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Tomasek. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Richard Tomasek, V??? Tomasek, Jeannie, Gary and Steven Tomasek, A?? Kucera, Millie Arthur, Raymond Beznoska, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Beznoska, Leah and Frank. Afternoon guests were Mrs. and Mrs. Emil Ruzicka, Mrs. Hilda Warner, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Ruzicka, daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Ruzicka and family and Mrs. Gene Ruzicka and family, Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Villwok and Mark of Craig. Mr. and Mrs. John Tomasek were married May 5, 1913 at Fremont. She is the former Lillie Beznoska of Cedar Bluffs. They have spent their married live farming in the North Bend area.   Mastny, Caroline Tomasek, 1988 It was a good year for raising yams, according to Caroline Mastny of 410 West 19th Street. She displays some of the large yams she grew from three hills in her garden. The two largest yams weighed 4.76 lbs. and 4.96 lbs. respectively. She said, "I've been raising yams for a long time, but I've had nothing like this."
