    • Leon McMinn--Ada Services for Oscar McMinn, 98, Rogers, Ark.,formerly of Stonewall, are 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Stonewall, the Rev. Gary Jamar conducting the rites. Burial is in Highland Cemetery. Mr. McMinn died April 20, 1990, in Rogers, Ark. He was born Dec. 29, 1891, in Douglas, La., to John Oliver and Phoebe Amanda Bryan McMinn. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Stonewall and First Baptist Church in Wynona, Okla., serving as deacon for a total of 28 years. One of his loves was baseball, playing with the Coast Artillery Sixth Company, Honolulu, Hawaii team during service, the Ada Oilers and the Wilson, Okla., Team. Mr McMinn played against Dizzy and Daffy Dean and Pepper Martin. He was a veteran of World War I.

      On June 1, 1920, he and Willie Louise Baugh were married in Ada. Survivors include his wife, Willie B., of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Pearl Louise and Mark L. Miksch, Rogers, Ark., one sister, Johnnie Weaver, Spur, Tx., four brothers, Eustace McMinn, West Covina, Ca., Juano McMinn, Barnsdall, Jack McMinn, Oklahoma City, and Fred McMinn, Odessa, Tx., two granddaughters, Mary L. Kraus and Deborah I. Campbell, both of Pond Creek; one great grandson; four great granddaughters. He was preceded in death by two sisters. Criswell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
