    Notes
    • Kary Parker McCary shows he married Ethel Marie Speir (1908-1964) who is also buried at Gravel Hill Cemetery. Did he also marry Nina Ethel Ludlow? She is shown as his spouse on FindAGrave, born 1894 Sabine County, died 1962, and buried int he Fairmount Cemetery. Nina Ethel is shown as a daughter of John L. LUDLOW, and she and Elisha are shown as the parents of Orval Valentine BOYETT (1919-1975), buried in Gravel Hill (Orval's Find A Grave Memorial Number is 81514854).

These families should be examined closely, as it is possible that the two Ethel's are being confused or conflated. To add to the confusion, Donley Burl Boyett, the brother of Elisha, is ALSO linked by FindAGrave to Ethel Marie Speir (1908-1964).

    • In her annotated transcription of the Gravel Hill Cemetery, Kay Parker McCary shows that Wyatt BOYETT (1905-1906) was a son of Robert Edgar Boyett and Clarissa Conn. He is more likely a son of John Oliver Boyett and Mattie Conn. Robert Edgar and Clarissa had only one chidl that died prior to 1910, his name was Robert Goodrich. However, the 1910 census showed that Mattie Conn Boyett had two children that died prior to that date. Zenas, 1898-1900, and UNKNOWN. It is very likely that this second child was Wyatt.
