      John J. Bozich

      John J. Bozich, 69, of Route 1, Pineland, died Thursday, Aug. 17, 1995, at Hemphill Care Center. Bozich was born July 11, 1926, in Bronson as a son of the late Kate Estell (Travis) and John C. Bozich and had returned to the area three years ago. He was retired from the military, serving in World War II and Korea, receiving two bronze stars while in Korea. Survivors: two sisters, Katie WOOD of Pineland and Madie SHARP of Bellaire; a half sister, Melba BOYLE of Beaumont; and his step-father, Joe KELLEY of Hemphill. Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Saturday at the chapel of Starr Funeral Home Inc. in Hemphill with Bro. Glenn D. Morton officiating. Interment followed at Pine Hill Cemetery near Pineland. Pallbearers: A. J WOOD, Sr. A. J Wood Jr, James WOOD, Gerald WOOD, John WOOD and Wayne WOOD.
