  Notes	Sabine County Reporter July 2, 2008 Roy Earl Butler Roy Earl Butler, 74, died on Friday, June 20, 2008, after an illness. Butler was born on December 24, 1933 in Hemphill and was a lifelong resident. He spent his working life as a self employed logger and merchant in Hemphill. He is survived by his wife, Nell Butler of Hemphill; two sons, Roy Earl Butler, Jr. and wife, Kay of Hemphill and Don Butler and wife, Sandra of Hemphill; two daughters, Margaret Marie Greene of Hemphill and Cindy Joyce Bennett and husband, Jim of Bronson; two brothers, Douglas Ray Butler and Raymond Butler, both of Hemphill; also by twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Butler was preceded in death by one son, William (Bill) Butler. Funeral services were held Monday, June 23 in the Starr Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed in the Gravehill Cemetery.
