      Rev. Travis Richard Wagstaff, 91, of Huntsville died Sunday, June 10, 2001, at Memorial Hospital in Huntsville.

      Bro. Wagstaff was born Aug. 16, 1909, in Joaquin as a son of the late Richard and Lula (Permenter) Wagstaff and was a longtime resident of the Huntsville area. He served as pastor of the First Baptist Church in Madisonville for 24 years.

      Survivors: two sons, Rev. Richard Wagstaff and wife Martha of Huntsville and Rev. Robert Wagstaff and wife Diane of The Woodlands; a daughter Mary Carden and husband John of Huntsville; a brother, Robert H. Wagstaff of Bronson; two sisters, Bonnie Myers of Lindale and Oneta Hannah of Jacksonville; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

      He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Marie Wagstaff on May 24, 2001.

      Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Madisonville with Dr. J.W.L. Adams officiating and Judge Frank Robinson offered personal comments. Interment followed at McAdams Cemetery.
