  Notes	From FindAGrave: James Stewart Hanks was born on 15 Apr 1805 in Montgomery County,Kentucky, the son of Rev. William and Mary "Polly" Stewart Hanks. He died on 29 Dec 1882 in Putnam County, Missouri. James was married first to Rose Hannah McMullen on 16 Oct 1823,Gibson county,Indiana. Rose Hannah died in 1841. She was the mother of eight of his children. James S. Hanks married Eliza Spore Mauck on 23 Jul 1845, and had six additional children. He is shown as a son of the Rev. William Hanks and his wife, Mary. The Rev. Hanks was said to have organized the Patoka, Indiana Baptist church in 1810. He and Mary are buried in the McCurdy Cemetery in Gibson County, Indiana. and memorials for both of them can also be found in FindAGrave.
