      Frances Kay Butler, 57, died Saturday morning in the M.D. Anderson Hospital, Houston, TX. Kay was born in Hemphill, TX, to Elvie and Brooksie Williams Adkison. Kay has lived in Hemphill most of her life and worked as a bank associate for Shelby Savings Bank in San Augustine.

      She is survived by her husband Roy "Tot" E. Butler, Jr. of Hemphill, her sons Kevin Butler and his wife Lindsay of The Woodlands and Jason Butler and his wife Meghan of Hemphill, three grandchildren Hannah, Hailey, and Carly, her brothers James Adkison of Hemphill and Guy Adkison of Carthage and her sisters Linda Buckley of Houston, Laverne Craig of Hemphill, Kathy Little of Hemphill and Becky Smith of Pineland. Kay was preceded in death by her parents Elvie and Brooksie Adkison and her sister Carolyn Woods.

      Visitation will be from 4:00pm until 9:00pm, Sunday, July 1, 2012, and from 9:00am until 9:00pm, Monday, July 2, 2012, in the Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr St., Hemphill, TX. Funeral services will be at 10:00am, Tuesday, July 3, 2012, in the Starr Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery near Hemphill.
