  Notes	Viola Jean Edgar, 82, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Hemphill Care Center in Hemphill, Texas. Jean was born in Upshur County, Texas on July 13, 1938 to Leamon P. Peveto and Lola Alma Odom Peveto. She was a lifelong resident of Sabine County and a member of Camp Springs Baptist Church. Jean was a well known and respected member of the community. She owned and operated chicken houses with her family for while also managing Edgar's Conoco. She later worked as Cafeteria Manager for Hemphill ISD for many years before her retirement. She is survived by her sons, Edward Edgar and Angie Butler of Hemphill and Danny "Squirrel" Edgar and wife, Shiela, also of Hemphill; sister, Joyce Moore of Many, La.; brother-in-law, Raymond Edgar and wife, Gail, of Bronson; grandchildren, Jena Luker, Dustin Edgar, Chelsea Edgar, Matthew Edgar and Amberlee Craig; and great grandchildren, Dakoda, Brady, Leah, Gracie, Avery, Cooper, Fletcher, Addison, and Maicyn. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas. Graveside services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 18, 2021 in Oak Hill Cemetery with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating.
