  Notes	Ricky George Smith, 68, of Hemphill, Texas, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Hospice in the Pines in Lufkin, Texas. Ricky George was born May 17, 1950 in Hemphill, Texas to Dalton "Shine" Smith and Lemmie Coussons Smith. He was a lifelong resident of Sabine County and he worked as a concrete finisher for East Texas Concrete Foundations. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Hemphill. He is survived by his daughter, Rhiannon Smith, of Houston, Texas; brothers, Paul Smith and wife, Shirley, of San Augustine, Texas, Philip Smith and wife, Pauline, of Hemphill, Texas, and Michael Smith and wife, Johnette, also of Hemphill; sisters, Shirley Williams of Beaumont, Texas, Frances "Sissy" Smith of Missouri, and Tanya Walker and husband, Buckshot, of Hemphill; and grandchildren, Austin and Aislinn Lee. He was proceeded in death by his parents, his brother, Jimmy Dale Smith, and his sister, Dot McLemore. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr St., Hemphill, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 9, 2018 in Smith Family Cemetery, Boyd Road, Milam, Texas under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating.
