He had the family researched a few years ago which takes it back to the 17th century, and supplied the following information about Anna's father, who was the son of Jan DRDEK and Katerina HRUBY: Jan came to the U.S. circa 1880 He was the third child, and Roman Catholic 1858-1863, Attended School 1867 TO 1871 - In Austrian Army The area in and around Pisek, (Kostelec nad Vltavou being about 20 km north of Pisek) was the recruiting area for Infanterie-Regiment Number 11.
