  Notes	Cass City Chronicle Friday, March 6, 1954 Long Time Resident of Cass City Dies John Mark, 77, resident of this vicinity for most of his life, died early Monday in his home on South Seeger Street, following an illness of two months. Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter Mark, he was born in Ontario, July 15, 1876. In 1898, he married Miss Laura Tanner in Cass City and after her death he married Mrs. Susanna Johnson on Jan. 2, 1941. She also preceded him in death. He is survived by two brothers, Robert Mark of Flint and Thomas Mark of Long Beach, Calif. Funeral services were held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Douglas Funeral Home. Rev. Lewis Surbrook, United Methodist Church pastor, officiated and burial was in Elkland Cemetery. (Transcribed by Melinda McLemore Strong)
