      Burless Benton Boyett

      Funeral services for Burless Benton Boyett, 79, of Hemphill were held Saturday, July 23, 1994 at the chapel of Starr Funeral Home Inc. in Hemphill with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating. Interment followed at Gravelhill Cemetery in Sabine County.

      He died July 21.

      Born March 23, 1915, in Gravelhill as a son of the late Nathan D. and Minnie Lee (Conn) Boyett, he had lived in the Houston area several years before returning to Sabine County 14 years ago. He was a retired pipefitter with Humble Oil and was preceded in death by a grandson, Burless Boyett, in 1987.

      Survivors: Virginia M. (Newburn) Boyett of Hemphill; two daughters, Maudine Carter of Houston and Pat Boyett of Austin; a son, Mike Boyett of San Augustine; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
