      David Eldon Bragg

      David Eldon Bragg, 72, of Milam died Friday, Jan. 5, 2001, at Nacogdoches Medical Center.

      Bragg, born Sept. 5, 1929, in Isla community as a son of the late Bertha (Lord) and Herman Henry Bragg, was a lifelong resident of the Milam area and a retired logger.

      Survivors: wife, Evelyn Bragg of Milam; sons, Jerry D. Williams of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Rodney Williams Bragg of Huxley and Donnie David Bragg of Yokum; daughters, Martha Lee HAGLER of Milam, Pansy GRAY of Nacogdoches, and Dorothy WEST of Evadale; as brother, Ray BRAGG of Milam; a sister, Mary JONES of Hemphill; 25 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

      Funeral services were held Jan. 7 at the chapel of Starr Funeral Home Inc. in Hemphill with Bro. George Bragg and Bro. Lou Dane officiating. Interment followed at New Hope Cemetery near Milam.
