      Henry Leo Roeder

      Henry Leo Roeder, 69, of Ebenezer died Friday, Dec. 27, 1996, at a Jasper hospital.

      He was a lifelong resident of the Ebenezer community ans was a retired truck driver for Shelby LP Gas Company. Roeder served as a deacon of Ebenezer Baptist Church and chaplain of the Angelina River Volunteer Fire Department.

      Survivors: a son, John Lee Roeder of Jasper; daughters, Sue Ann Eickenhorst and Cynthia Roeder, both of Jasper; sisters, Helen Marshall and Dorothy Parker, both of Jasper, and Burmadee Collins of Elkhart; grandchildren, Misty Smith and Elizabeth Eickenhorst; and great grandchildren, Shelby Smith and Amy Smith.

      Funeral services were held Sunday at Forest Oaks Funeral Home's chapel. Interment followed at Ebenezer cemetery.
