      Bonnie Cartwright

      Bonnie Hardy Cartwright, 96, of San Augustine died Monday, April 6, 1998, at the Twin Lakes Care Center in San Augustine.

      Born Sept. 29, 1901 in San Augustine County as a daughter of the late Dutch and Mary Lou (Dickerson) Hardy, she was a lifelong resident of the area. Mrs. Cartwright was homemaker and a member of Rosevine Missionary Baptist Church.

      Survivors: son, Jessie Cartwright of Rosevine, daughters Willie Mae COLLIER of San Augustine and Elizabeth PHELPS of Nederland; 18 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 29 great-great grandchildren.

      Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel in San Augustine with Bro. Cliff Durham and Bro. Charles Stephens officiating. Intermenet will follow in Rosevine Cemetery.

      Arrangements are being handled by Wyman Roberts Funeral Home.
