He died February 12, 1923 and he is buried in Cliburn Cemetery in Lawrence County, MS. His mother was Permelia Jane Mullens, and she was born June 26, 1848 in MS. She died January 11, 1931. She is also buried in Cliburn Cemetery in Lawrence County, MS. Could he be a descendant of Norman Martin (b. 1798 in North Carolina) of Clarke County, Mississippi, who had many descendants that would marry into the McLemore family in and around Copiah County? They both passed away at home in the Stronghope Community outside of Wesson. MS. Papa died in December and Granny died in January, just a month apart. They are both buried in the Cliburn Cemetery in New Hebron, MS."
