She was born in Mobile, Alabama to Herman and Glynis Davidson King. Mary has lived most of her life in Hemphill and was a self-employed property manager and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hemphill. She was predeceased by her parents, Glynis and Herman King and brother, Glenn F "Corky" King (FAG memorial 30386897). She is survived by her son Michael Garrett and his wife Lana of Hemphill, her daughter Juli Van Winkle and her husband Brian of Hemphill, ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 9am, Sunday, April 1, 2012 in the King Cemetery, Highway 21 East, Milam, Texas. Starr Funeral Home, Hemphill, Texas
