      Miss Betty Mark Marries Corporal

The Methodist parsonage of Watertown, New York, was the scenes of a wedding Thursday evening, Oct. 7, at eight o'clock when Miss Betty R. Mark, duaghter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Mark, became the bride of Cpl. Donald McLeod of Pine Camp, Watertown, New York, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh McLeod of Sandusky. Rev. Albert Abbot, pastor of the church, officiated. Mrs. Albert Abbott and a soldier friend of the groom were the attendants.

The bride chose for her weddign a sutie of navy blue with which she wore a hat of soldier blue and a gardenia corsage.

The groom was on leave from Thursday until Sunday, Oct. 10. Mrs. McLeod is on leave from her position in the office of hte Frutchey Bean Co. here and left Tuesday, Oct. 5, for Watertown. She expects to return here the last of the month.

The September 7, 1963 issue of the STRIFFLER-BENKELMAN BROADCAST (Vol. 23), reported that the McLeod's had hosted an exchange student, Jorge Perera, from Yucatan, Mexico in Sandusky for the academic year.

They were the parents of Michael and Mark McLEOD. As of the publication date of Art Peck's book, Betty was living in Flushing, Genesse County, Michigan. She appears to have married a Mr. Aube prior to 1998, at which time she was living in Davison.
