  Notes	El Ray Dickerson, 71, of Pineland, Texas passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2019 in Hemphill Care Center. El Ray was born in Coleman, Texas on November 14, 1947 to L. J. Dickerson and Beulah Taylor Dickerson. He worked for many years as a carpenter. He was a lifetime resident of Pineland, Texas and a member of Bethel Chapel Baptist Church and the Pineland Volunteer Fire Department. He is survived by his wife of 51 ? years, Jean Dickerson of Pineland, Texas; sister, Annette Baker of Nacogdoches, Texas; and three grandchildren, Haylee Sowell, Victoria Champion, and Alex Cheney. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathy Ann Cheney. Visitation for El Ray will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2019 at Bethel Chapel Baptist Church, 854 U.S. Hwy 96 N in Pineland, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 5, 2019 in Bethel Chapel Baptist Church under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with Bro. Brad Forrest officiating.
