  Notes	Jimmie Boyett, 90, of Hemphill, Texas passed away Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Legacies Nursing and Rehabilitation in Hemphill. Jimmie was born in Milam, Texas on September 6, 1931 to George Boyett and Fannie Gray Boyett. He had served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. After serving in the military, he became a firefighter for the Houston Fire Department. He continued his firefighting career for 31 years earning the rank of District Chief before he retired. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Nance Boyett of Hemphill; daughter, Nena Chance and husband, Glenn, of Hemphill; sister, Iva Dell Doggett of Center; grandchildren, Kyle Knopp and Ashton Daffron; and great grandchildren, Shane, Logan, Daxton, Hagan, Kahlyn, and Savannah. Graveside services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2022 in Sardis-Edgefield Cemetery in Cherokee County under the direction of Starr Funeral Home.
