He was described as of Medium Heighth and build, with blue eyes and dark hair. A William P. McClanahan, date of birth not shown, is buried at the Marlow Cemetery, Stephens County, Oklahoma. His date of death was shown as 26 Sept 1918, and he has a military marker, inscribed "OK Pvt 127 M. G. BN 34 Div." This appears to be the same William P. McClanahan, as an application was made for a Military Headstone for William Percy McClanahan, to be buried in Marlow, by W. P. McClanahan Sr of Healdton, Okla in 1931.
