At the time of the 1920 census, he was a boarder in their home, listed as son-in-law, and also as widowed. His younger sister, Velma, was also a boarder in that same home. There is a death certificate on file for his first wife, viewable online at FamilySearch.org, Texas Deaths, 1890-1976. She was shown as Mrs. Otis E. Fullen, born Oct. 20, 1898 died October 29, 1918 from bronchopneumonia due to the Influenza epidemic sweeping the world. Her parents were shown as R. D.
