      Vera Ford

      Vera Ford, 97, of San Augustine County died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007 in San Augustine. She was born August 7, 1909 in San Augustine as a daughter of the late Lott C. CONN and Rosa CONN. She owned Ford General Store and was a member of the Mt. Horeb Baptist Church. Survivors: son, Jerry Glen FORD and wife Romana of San Augustine, grandchildren, Taylor FORD and wife Jenni of Eastland, Trent FORD of Temple, Suzanne SKINNER and husband Steve of Johnson City and Vera NAMES of San Diego, Calif., great-grandchildren, Taylor COLLIER of Dallas, Story COLLIER of Dallas, Emily FANNIN of Johnson City, Stewart FANNIN of Johnson City, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lott and Rosa CONN, husband Elbert FORD, daughters, Flora Dean NAMES and infant Carol Faye FORD; sisters, Jewel HALTON, Vernie WILLIS, and Lottie JENKINS. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel in San Augustine with Bro. Buddy Pratt and Bro. C.R. Sharpton officiating. Interment will follow at Tebo Cemetery in Sabine County. Services are under the direction of Wyman Roberts Funeral Home in San Augustine.
