  Notes	The Sabine County Reporter February 11, 2009, Page 11 Lela Bell Eddins Lela Bell Eddins, 92, passed away Monday, Feb. 2, 2009, at Twin Lakes Rehabilitation and Care Center in San Augustine. Mrs. Eddins was born Nov. 2, 1916, in Gregg County as a daughter of the late Charlie and Lucy Clegg Smith and had been a longtime resident of the Sabine and San Augustine Counties area. She was a homemaker and a member fo the Order of the Eastern Star and the Baptist Church. Survivors: sons, Edward McGown and wife Betty of Hemphill and Ellis McGown and wife Linda of San Augustine; daughters, Mary Golden of Lufkin and Katy Newton and husband Wayne of San Augustine; brother, Jim Clegg of Bronson; grandchildren, Shane, Todd, Jimmy, Janiece, Tammy, Chad, Amber, Crystal, Michelle, Georgette, Nikki, and Travis; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Eddins; sons, John McGown and George McGown; and a grandson, John Hanks. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 4, at the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel in San Augustine with Bro. Gordon Simmons officiating. Interment followed at Centerview Cemetery near Pineland. Pallbearers: Eugene Clegg, Shane McGown, Todd McGown, Jimmy Woods, Weldon Thomas and Tommy Newton. Services were under the direction of Wyman Roberts Funeral Home in San Augustine.
