    Larry Wayne Fullen, 65, died February 15, 2012 at his residence.

    A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for 10:30 am, Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Hereford Heritage Funeral Home, 411 E 6th Street. Rev's Ron Lacy, Pastor of Dawn Baptist Church, and Roy Hunter, friend in Christ, will officiate.

    Graveside Services will be conducted by Starr Funeral Home of Hemphill, Texas on Sunday, 2:00 pm, February 19, 2012 at Fairmont Cemetery, Hemphill, Texas. Military honors will be provided by the US Army Honor Guard from Ft. Hood, Texas.

    Larry Wayne Fullen was born March 4, 1946 in Dallas to Robert and Kathryn (Wilkins) Fullen. He married the love of his life, Sandi "Norris" Fullen on June 19, 1971 in Lake Charles, LA. They moved to their residence south of Dawn on County Road B from Amarillo in 2004. Larry graduated from Chilton County High School in Clanton, Alabama. He graduated from West Texas State University. Larry was a gentle and kind man and a friend to everyone he met. He had a gift of endearing himself to everyone. Larry's heart was full of love first and foremost for his Savior and King and it spilled over to all the people that crossed his path. He had a love of the Western Heritage and stewardship of the land with a special concern for the animals in his care. Larry was a member of the Texas State Western Cattle Rangers, Past Member of the Amarillo Lions Club.
    Larry was a veteran in the Army with the Special Forces civil affairs battalion and trained dogs for combat activity during the Vietnam War. Larry's love for animals was one of the special gifts God gave him.

    Larry was a member of the Dawn Baptist Church.

    Survivors include his wife and best friend Sandi of the home, 2 brothers Don Fullen and wife Cheryl of Conroe, TX, Austin Fullen and wife Alexis of Lake Charles, LA, several nieces, nephews and a host of many friends.

    Larry was preceded in death by his parents.
