Barbara and Jackson Boyett were killed instantly on November 29, 2011 when a vehicle crossed the center line and hit their van head-on. Barbara was born in Angleton, Texas, on March 20, 1947, and was the daughter of Reid Buis and Aleen Whittaker Buis of Angleton, Texas. She held a Bachelor of Arts degrees in English Literature from The University of Texas at Austin. Barbara married Ernest Jackson Boyett, Jr. on December 18, 1971. "Her one wish was that neither one would go first and either one would have to live without the other one," said Max Smith, an elder at Dayspring Fellowship. Burial was in the Junction City Cemetery, Junction, Texas, on Tuesday, December 6, 2011.
