    John J. Bozich

    John J. Bozich, 69, of Route 1, Pineland, died Thursday, Aug. 17, 1995, at Hemphill Care Center. Bozich was born July 11, 1926, in Bronson as a son of the late Kate Estell (Travis) and John C. Bozich and had returned to the area three years ago. He was retired from the military, serving in World War II and Korea, receiving two bronze stars while in Korea. Survivors: two sisters, Katie WOOD of Pineland and Madie SHARP of Bellaire; a half sister, Melba BOYLE of Beaumont; and his step-father, Joe KELLEY of Hemphill. Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Saturday at the chapel of Starr Funeral Home Inc. in Hemphill with Bro. Glenn D. Morton officiating. Interment followed at Pine Hill Cemetery near Pineland. Pallbearers: A. J WOOD, Sr. A. J Wood Jr, James WOOD, Gerald WOOD, John WOOD and Wayne WOOD.

Interment will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. Survivors: her husband, A.J. Wood of Pineland; sons, A.J. Wood Jr. and wife Charlotte of Pineland, Gerald Wood and wife Debbie of Nacogdoches, Johnny Wood and wife Pam of Nacogdoches, Wayne Wood and wife Jean of Center, and James Wood and wife Angela of Hemphill; sisters, Grace Fowler of Pineland, Frances Jones of Pineland, Beth LaBouve of Jennings, Louisiana, and Madie Sharp of Bellaire; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
