Obituary

Hastings resident, Shirley J. Hinrichs, 72, of 608 South Chicago, died Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at her home.

Services will be Tuesday, July 15, 2008; 1:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Harold D. Stromer officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Churchyard Cemetery, west of Glenvil, Nebraska. Livingston-Butler-Volland Funeral Home & Cremation Center is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be Sunday, July 13, 2008; 1:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M., Monday, July 14, 2008; 9:00 A.M.-9:00 P.M. and Tuesday, 9:00 A.M. until service time. Memorials may be given to the family.

Mrs. Hinrichs was born June 14, 1936 in Geneva, Nebraska to William & Georgia (Doupnik) Soukup. She graduated from Geneva High School and married Marvin J. Hinrichs on April 1, 1956. He preceded her in death on September 13, 1989. She was a life long area resident and a housekeeper at the nurse's dorm and later at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Hinrichs was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin; son, Randy on April 12, 2001; sister, Betty and a brother, William Soukup Jr.

Brother: Robert Soukup - Hastings, NE
Sister: Bonnie Burklund - York, NE

Randy Allen Hinrichs, 43, of 411 S. Elm, Autumn Park Apartments, died Tuesday, April 10, 2001 at Bryan LGH Medical Center East, Lincoln, Nebraska.

Services will be Friday, April 13, 2001; 2:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Pastor Kathleen Kasper officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Churchyard Cemetery, rural Glenvil, Nebraska.

Randy Allen Hinrichs was born August 20, 1957 in San Diego, California to Marvin & Shirley (Soukup) Hinrichs. He moved with his family to Hastings, Nebraska in 1959. He resided in Beatrice, Nebraska from 1964 to 1973 when he returned to Hastings.

Randy Allen Hinrichs was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Hinrichs and grandparents.
