June 29, 1934-Former Negreet resident, Mrs. W. M Cook, 76, died Thursday in her Center, Texas home after a long illness. Burial in Fairview Cemetery. Those that survive her include, husband, W. M. Cook, children: Mrs. W. S. Corbett, SR, Mrs. H. B Corbett, Mrs. R. R. Loving, Mrs. W. S. Beckram, Mrs. T. E. Cosby and Nahtan Cook, all of Center; J. M., Amarillo, Texas; C. M., Tulsa; Elmer, Fort Smith, Arkansas, Maby Cook, Lafayette, Georgia and 37 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Amanda married William Morris Cook about 1874 in Louisiana. William (son of Nathan Cook and Elvira Jane Montgomery) was born on 2 Jan 1854 in Sabine Parish, Louisiana; died on 15 Jun 1940 in Center, Shelby County, Texas; was buried in Fairview Cemetery, Center, Shelby County, Texas.
