Sylvia "Sibbie" Ruth Chudly

Nicknamed Sibbie. (Milligan, p 252). She was in the Milligan School Band, in 1937, along with her sister Goldie. Sybil played the saxophone. (Milligan, 1988-2008, p. 5).

Sylvia Ruth Butcher, age 92, of Lincoln, passed away on December 1, 2017. She was born on July 16, 1925, in Milligan, to Edward and Anna (Hromadka) Chudly. Sylvia is survived by her sons, Michael Butcher of Lincoln; Mark (Eileen) Butcher of Seal Beach, California, daughter, Pam Butcher of Omaha; six grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Grace Delaney of Lincoln. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul, son David, granddaughter Juli-Ann, parents, brother, Edward, and sister, Goldie.

Sylvia's wishes were to be cremated and a private graveside service will be held at a later date. Interment will be in Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Lincoln Food Bank.

Sylvia married Paul C. Butcher on 4 Dec 1943 in Massachusetts. Paul (son of Frank John Butcher and Pearl Victoria Cole) was born on 20 Sep 1921 in Nebraska; died on 13 Feb 1995 in Lincoln, Lancaster County, Nebraska. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Michael (Mike) E Butcher, age 75, of Lincoln, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023. Mike was born November 1, 1948 to Paul and Sylvia Chudly Butcher. Mike is survived by his loving children, Andrew (Stephanie) Butcher, Jessica Butcher; siblings, Pamela Butcher, Mark (Eileen) Butcher; grandchildren, Jack Butcher, Natalie Butcher; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
