The informant was Mrs. G. L. McLemore. He was buried in Tolar.

    Lee Osborne writes that he has a "copy of a letter of my Great Grandfather Thomas Henry McLemore. He stated he did not know much about the family. He thought his great grandfather was from Highlands of Scotland. His grandfather was Young Lee McLemore and his Father was John Wesley McLemore."

    BIOGRAPHY: Served in the Oklahoma State Legislature in 1915 and 1916. Wasa member of the Farmers Union and the Cotton and Broomcorn Growers Associations. Taken from The Carter Express Newspaper, August 12,1910: T.H.McLemore will make his opening campaign speech for the office of County Clerk of Beckham County on the street in Elk City Saturday, August 18, at 3 p.m.

    BIRTH: Was born in Texas in 1874, moved to Oklahoma in 1901.

    The informant for this death certificate was Mrs. W. F. Mizell of Granbury. presumably his sister, Verdie.

    In 1930, he was living in the home of his older brother, Thomas Henry McLemore, in Beckham County, OK. He was listed as single, and as a laborer on a general farm.

    An actual copy of his Texas Death Certificate can be seen online at FamilySearch.org, Texas Deaths, 1890-1976. He is shown as a son of James McLemore and Emma Smith. It is ASSUMED that the James McLemore that is his father is a son of Young Leander McLemore, as another son of Young Leander, John Wesley, was also in Somervell County around this time period. This should be verified through an obituary or census records. John Alvin was listed as born in Somervell County. His residence at the time of his death was Tolar, and his occupation was farming. He was married, and the informant was his wife, Mrs. J. A. McLemore.

    When he registered for the draft during World War I, he was a resident of Sommervell County. His DOB was instead shown as 11 Mar 1884.
