    Elizabeth Crocker Wright

    Elizabeth Crocker Wright, 97, of Conroe died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2006, in Montgomery County. Mrs. Wright was born May 5, 1909, in San Augustine County to Julia (Harvey) Crocker and John Lambert Crocker. She lived most of her life in San Augustine, but had resided in Sugar Land and Conroe for the past six years. She was a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and a charter member. Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, Giles V. and JoAnn WRIGHT of Sugar Land, daughters and son-in-law, Frances W. and Charles E. WALKER of Conroe and Betty Ruth GRIFFIN of Needville; sister Carmon BEARD of Beaumont; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Paul WRIGHT. Graveside rites were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, at the Liberty Hill Cemetery in San Augustine County with her nephew, Bro. Herbert DICKERSON officiating. Services were under the direction of Carroway/Claybar Funeral Home in Lufkin.
