They last lived in O'Donnell, Texas and both were buried in the Paducah cemetery in Paducah, Cottle Co, Texas.

Wynema McGrew writes that he was one of the few surviving old-time cowhands of the Waggoner Ranch, where he worked for 13 years as a chuck wagon cook. A colorful character, he was featured in newspaper and magazine articles about the passing of the West, including the Saturday Evening Post. He was a member of the Baptist Faith.

Jessie was the daughter of Henderson Warren and Elizabeth Maddox. Jessie married Charlie Williams and they had three children: Ophelia, Emma Elizabeth, and Verna Williams. The family lived most of their life on a farm near Kirkland Texas. Daughter Emma graduated from Kirkland High School in 1939. The other daughters died young.

Juanita Johnson, 97, of Clovis, died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012, at Retirement Ranch.

She was born May 24, 1914, in Kirkland, Texas.

She was retired from Portales Beauty Salon.

Survivors include one daughter, Mary Jon (Johnson) McKenzie; and one son, Kevin Edward Johnson.

Services: 1 p.m. Saturday at Portales Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
