Juanita was an avid genealogist, and corresponded and researched the McGrew family line for many years.

Juanita Johnson, 97, of Clovis, died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012, at Retirement Ranch.

She was born May 24, 1914, in Kirkland, Texas.

She was retired from Portales Beauty Salon.

Survivors include one daughter, Mary Jon (Johnson) McKenzie; and one son, Kevin Edward Johnson.

Services: 1 p.m. Saturday at Portales Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mary married Eddie Grover Johnson on 19 Jun 1949 in Ciudad Ju?rez, Chihuahua, Mexico. Eddie was born on 19 Jan 1914 in Craven, Vernon Parish, Louisiana; died on 6 Mar 1971 in Portales, Roosevelt County, New Mexico; was buried in Portales Cemetery, Portales, Roosevelt County, New Mexico.
