    Wynema McGrew writes that he was one of the few surviving old-time cowhands of the Waggoner Ranch, where he worked for 13 years as a chuck wagon cook. A colorful character, he was featured in newspaper and magazine articles about the passing of the West, including the Saturday Evening Post. He was a member of the Baptist Faith.
