Dlouhy -- Mary Frances, 97, Tobias, died Sunday (8/30/98) in Geneva. Born to Vaclav and Marie (Bernasek) Koca (5/17/ 01). Homemaker. Gold Star Member, American Legion Auxiliary HSSK Post 240, 67 years. Survivors: sons, daughters-inlaw, Adolph Jr. and Evelyn, Tobias, John and Helen, Lincoln; daughter, son-in-law, Emilye and Ron Dunn, Lincoln; sister, Anna Kotas, Friend; six grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; two stepgreat-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews.

Mary married Adolph Joseph Dlouhy, Jr. on 28 Nov 1922 in Tobias, Saline County, Nebraska. Adolph (son of Adolph Dlouhy and Marie A. Cvach) was born on 2 Jan 1895 in Tobias, Saline County, Nebraska; died on 6 Mar 1974 in Wilber, Saline County, Nebraska; was buried in Tobias City Cemetery, Tobias, Saline County, Nebraska. Served in the US Navy from March 1943 to March 1946 in the Asiatic and Pacific Theaters. He made a home for his widowed mother on their family farm, which he still operates (Milligan, p 261).

Adolph J. Dlouhy Jr., 85, of Tobias, Neb., died Sunday, September 5, 2010, in Fairmont, Neb. He was born to Adolph and Mary (Koca) Dlouhy Sr. on March 16, 1925 at Tobias.

Survivors: Wife, Evelyn of Tobias; Step-sons, Larry Fitzgibbon of Scottsbluff, Neb., Gary Fitzgibbon of Ohiowa, Neb.; Step Daughter, Cheri Svec of Milligan, Neb.; Sister, Emily Dunn of Lincoln; three Step Grandchildren; seven Step Great Grandchildren.

No Services. Burial of ashes at a later date at the Tobias Cemetery. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home.

Adolph married Evelyn Langhorst on 14 Feb 1958 in Wilber, Saline County, Nebraska. Evelyn (daughter of Albert G. Langhorst, Sr. and Mary T. Staritz) was born on 16 Jun 1919 in Fillmore County, Nebraska; died on 26 Feb 2016. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Emilye Marie Dunn, 90, died Sunday (5/13/2018) in Lincoln. Born November 3,1927 in Tobias, Nebraska to Adolph and Marie Dlouhy. Retired accountant, member of Christ United Methodist Church, and an enthusiastic Nebraska Volleyball fan.

Survivors: Daughter and son-in-law Cindy and Ernie Barney of San Clemente, California; daughter and son-in-law Janis and Scott Gordon of Lincoln; daughter Virginia Dunn and close friend John Fauntleroy of Richmond, Virginia; sister-in-law Helen Dlouhy of Lincoln; nieces, nephews, cousins. Preceded in death by husband Ronald, parents, brothers Adolph and John.

Private interment. In lieu of flowers send memorials to the Tobias chapter of the American Legion Auxiliary or the Nebraska Library Commission Talking Books and Braille Service.

John F. Dlouhy, 75, died Wednesday (6/8/05) in Lincoln. Born (1/5/30) in Tobias to Adolph J. and Mary F. (Koca) Dlouhy. Retired welder. Member: Faith Lutheran Church. John was a very active member and volunteer at church and Meals on Wheels, was a blood donor and enjoyed gardening. He was employed with Lincoln Steel for 31 years and National Crane for 8 years. U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors: wife, Helen (Wambolt) Dlouhy, Lincoln; sons, daughters-in-law, David J. and Ana Dlouhy, Katy, Texas, Ted M. and Connie Dlouhy, Omaha; daughter, son-in-law, Beverly J. Dlouhy, Ashley and James Ashley, Lincoln; grandson, Luis Dlouhy; brother, sister-in-law, Adolph and Evelyn Dlouhy, Tobias; sister, brother-in-law, Emilye and Ron Dunn, Lincoln; nieces, nephews, cousins. Preceded in death by: parents; daughter, Kathryn Ann Dlouhy.
