Doyle Burkhalter

Doyle Mencil Burkhalter, 69, of Houston, died at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, June 1, 1995, at Hemphill Care Center in Hemphill.

Born March 5, 1926, in Hemphill as a son of the late Lonzie and Eula (Alford) Burkhalter, he had lived in Houston a number of years and was a member of the Church of God. Burkhalter was a retired truck driver and a member of the AFL-CIO.

He is survived by his wife, Consuelo Burkhalter of Houston, a brother, A. Z. Burkhalter of Hemphill; two nieces and one nephew.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the chapel of Starr Funeral Home Inc. in Hemphill with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating. Interment followed at Rosevine Cemetery in Rosevine.
