    Robert McLemore "Bob" Butler, died on Thursday, July 5, 2007.

    A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2007 at Cape Fear Baptist Church, 6041 Butler Nursery Road, Cumberland County at 11:00 a.m. His ashes will be interred by Military Honor Guard immediately following the memorial service in the Church Cemetery. After the graveside service, a luncheon will be served for all his kin and friends in the Church Reception room.

    Bob was educated at Campbell College and NCSU. He served a tour of duty with the N.C. National Guard and the U.S. Air Force in Korea, Japan and Okinawa during the Korean War. He was an Electrical Engineer for ITT then went on to Marketing for Cornell-Dubilier Electronics.

    Bob was predeceased by his father, Floyd Alexander Butler, originally of Gray's Creek, and his Mother, Esther Melvin Smith Butler, originally of Cedar Creek.

    He is survived by his daughter, Mary Esther Butler; and his granddaughter, Katherine Alexandra "Ali" Butler-Moutos both of Marietta,GA; his sister, Patricia Melvin Butler Fogleman and her husband, Jim of Wilmington; a niece, Kathi Fogleman of Southport, NC, nephews, Jim Fogleman and his wife, Mary Edna of Raleigh and their children, Will, Alex, and Rob, David Fogleman of Wilmington, Scott Fogleman and his wife, Tami of Myrtle Beach, SC and their children, Lauren, Bradley, and Jordan.

    A visitation will be held at Thomas Funeral Home, 401 N. Ennis Street, Fuquay-Varina on Friday evening, July 13 from 7:00-9:00 p.m.

    Memorials may be made to Cape Fear Baptist Church.
