    Mildred Rose Bures
    February 6, 1918-March 9, 2012

    Mildred Rose Bures widow of John A. Bures and the daughter of Frank and Anna (Krejdl) Zelenka was born February 6, 1918, on a farm three miles northwest of Milligan, Nebraska. She attended county school at District #33 graduating from the eight grade. Also attended high school at Friend and Milligan, Nebraska. On September 22, 1936 she was united in marriage to John A. Bures and they farmed northwest of Burress, Nebraska for three years. Then they moved to a farm south of Grafton, Nebraska where they farmed for 38 years. Mildred's hobbies were reading, raising a garden, taking care of her flowers, and raising chickens. She loved to visiting with friends and she also loved polka music. In March of 1978 they retired from the farm and moved to Geneva. On September 7, 1978 John passed away. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by cousins and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Farmer & Son Funeral Home-Kotas Chapel in Milligan. Visitation beginning Monday at 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Kotas Chapel in Milligan. Burial in the Bohemian National Cemetery. Memorial to Geneva Senior Center
