In 1937, he married Eunice WOODS, and for fifty nine years they shared their lives until she preceded him in death. He died 27 October 2004 in San Augustine, and his obituary was in the Thursday, November 4, 2004 issue of the San Augustine Tribune. Survived by wife, Tommie; son Don BUTLER (and wife Kay) of Wells; daughter, Jerri HORN (and husband Chrys) of Whitehouse; son-in-law David HARDY of Baytown; brother JK BUTLER (and wife Francis) of Silsbee; sister Wilma LUDWIG (and husband Ken) of Silsbee; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Farmer and Rancher, Past Master of Redland Masonic Lodge, deacon of Little Flock Missionary Baptist Church.
