    Robert E. Byley

    Funeral services for Robert E. Byley, 72, of Hemphill are set for 10 a.m. today (Wednesday) at the First Baptist Church in Hemphill with Bro. Gene Walker and Bro. Bobby C. Dagnel officiating. Interment will follow in Bronson Cemetery in Bronson. Arrangements are being handled by Starr Funeral Home Inc. in Hemphill.

    He died Monday, Nov. 28, at this residence on Texas Highway 184.

    Byley was born Dec. 7, 1921, in Sabine County as a son of the late Lum A. and Emma Mae (Butler) Byley and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Hemphill's First Baptist Church and a self-employed poultry farmer.

    Survivors: wife, Mary Frances Byley of Hemphill; a daughter Kathy Fitzgerald of Hemphill; a sister, Sue Duke of Houston; and three brothers, Eddie Byley of Pt. Arthur, H. Marcine Byley of Orange, and B. B. Byley of Hemphill.
