    Viola Stewart

    Viola Stewart, 81, of Yellowpine died at 3:40 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, 1998, at her residence.

    She was born March 31, 1917, in Sabine County as a daughter of the late Nancy Josephine (Lee) and John Impson and was a lifelong resident of the area. Mrs. Stewart was a member of the Yellowpine Missionary Baptist Church and a homemaker.

    Survivors: a daughter, Carolyn Thomason of Hemphill; five sons, Johnny Paul Stewart, Jimmy Doyle Stewart, Charles Ray Stewart, Phillip Wayne Stewart, and Ronny Lynn Stewart, all of Yellowpine; sister, Nelda Faye Smith of Newton; brothers, Alvin Impson of Nacogdoches; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Stewart, and a brother, Laurise Impson.

    Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel of Starr Funeral Home Inc. in Hemphill with Bro. Clarence W. Howell officiating. Interment followed at the Yellowpine Cemetery.

    Pallbearers: Michael Stewart, Billy Stewart, Ray Stewart, Gary Stewart, Jeremy Mason, Chris Mason, and John Latham.

    Jimmy Doyle Stewart, 70, of Yellowpine, died Saturday morning in the Mount Moriah Health and Rehabilitation Facility in Hemphill, Texas. Jimmy was born in Hemphill to Paul and Viola Impson Stewart. He worked as a machine operator in the chicken house industry before retiring.

    Jimmy is survived by his daughter Nancy Ponder and her husband Michael of San Augustine, his grandchildren Hunter and Allison, his sister Carolyn Thomason and her husband Curtis of Hemphill, his brothers; Johnny Paul Stewart, Phillip Stewart, Ronny Stewart and his wife Bonnie all of Yellowpine, Texas.

    Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 8:00PM, Sunday, October 26, 2014, in the Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr St., Hemphill, Texas. Funeral services will be at 2:00PM, Monday, October 27, 2014, in the Starr Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Yellowpine Cemetery, Yellowpine, Texas.
