    Notes:

    When he registered for the World War I draft, he was farming in Sabinetown, and was supporting his wife and two children. He was shown as being of medium heighth and build, with blue eyes and sandy hair.

    Virgie Speights wrote, on the occasion of his golden wedding anniversary in 1964, that Anderson grew up at Sabinetown, attending the one-room schools, watching the steamboats travel the Sabine River and helping with the farming. He worked for seven years at the sawmills in the oilfields, on pipelines and with drilling rigs. He had three brothers and one sister still living: "Wicke Anderson of Florien, Louisiana, Wyatt Anderson of Lufkin, Ellis Anderson of Fairfax, Alabama,a dn Mrs. Ella Ferris of Colfax, Louisiana."

    Pearl Elizabeth Beauchamp, 94, was born January 31, 1916 in Sabine Town to the late Wade and Esther Anderson. She passed away January 10, 2011. Pearl was a member of the Bronson United Methodist Church. She was a retired caretaker for Baldree Nursing Home in San Augustine.
    Pearl is survived by her three sons Lamar Beauchamp and wife Martha Anne of Odessa, Charles Beauchamp and wife Suzanne of Houston, Alvin Beauchamp and wife Jean of Rosevine; daughter Marie McBride and husband Neulon of Pineland; brother William Anderson of Dallas; sister Eula Broussard of Crockett; eleven grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous neices and nephews.

    Funeral Services will be 3:00 pm, Thursday, January 13, 2011, at the Starr Funeral Home chapel, with burial to follow at the Beauchamp Family Cemetery. Visitation will be from five until ten Wednesday night at Starr Funeral Home.

    Services are under the direction of Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill Texas.

    An article commerating the 100th anniversary of her birth was published in The Sabine County Reporter on January 27, 2016, page 11.

    FRANK BOSTICK ANDERSON, 72, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2000, while being cared for by the wonderful staff at the Hospice at Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Mary Ann; his brothers and sisters, Pearl Beauchamp, Charlie Anderson, Ruth Koblinski, Eula Broussard, and William Anderson; his nephew and life long friend, Lamar Beauchamp; three sons, Terry Anderson, Wesley Sprague, and Clay Anderson; three daughters, Sondra Anderson, Patsy Vlasek, and Courtneye Sprague; and his grandchildren, Bonny Vlasek, Justin Rodriguez, Holly Anderson, Becky Anderson, Tyler Sprague, Billy Carberry, Austin Taylor, Jordan Anderson, and Payton Sprague. The family would like to thank Dr. Randall Millikan and the dedicated staff at M. D. Anderson Hospital. A memorial service will be held at Harper's Chapel in Hemphill, Texas on Saturday, April 15, 2000, at 4:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to M. D.     ODESSA - George Lamar "Bo" Beauchamp, 83, died unexpectedly in his home July 17, 2022. He was born February 3, 1939, in a log cabin in Sabine Town, Texas, the son of George Lamar and Pearl Elizabeth (Anderson) Beauchamp.

    George Lamar graduated from Bronson High School in 1957. Following graduation, he joined the United States Air Force and served as an aircraft mechanic. During this time, he married his high school sweetheart, Martha Ann Epps. They celebrated 62 years of marriage this past February. Between active duty and Air National Guard duty, he worked for Dyna Electron, a contractor for NASA, where he maintained the astronaut's aircraft. The last 20 years he and Martha resided in Odessa, Texas. You could always find George building remote control airplanes, working on a Ford, or playing a game of 42. He was also a proud member of Ace in the Hole Club.

    In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his son, Gilbert Wayne Beauchamp; grandchildren, Russell Hoehn, Melissa Hoehn, Adam Hoehn, and Niko Hosey.

    Surviving in addition to his wife, Martha Ann (Epps) Beauchamp, are his children, Brenda and her husband Brian Hoehn, Greg and his wife Nancy Beauchamp, Brandi and her husband Luke Wallace as well as three grandchildren that they raised, Brittany Moschella, Johnny Beauchamp, and Kaytlin Beauchamp. They also have 14 more grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. One sister, Marie McBride and her family, brother Charles and wife Suzanne and their family, and brother Alvin and wife Jean and their family.

    A service of remembrance will be held 10 a.m. Friday, July 22 at American Heritage Funeral Home, 4100 N FM1788, Midland, Texas.

    Don Burkhalter

    Donald Lee Burkhalter, 64, of Rt. 4, Hemphill, died at 2 a.m. Monday, April 28, 1997 in Hemphill.

    Burkhalter was born Nov. 22, 1932 in Sabinetown. He had lived in Sabine County several years and was a retired mechanic.

    Survivors include his parents, Ruth Anderson Koblinski of Grand Prarie and Elzie Burkhalter of Houston, a son, Danny Burkhalter of North Carolina; a brother, a sister, two grandchildren; and aunts and uncles.

    Funeral services have been set for 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel of Starr Funeral Home Inc. in Hemphill. Interment will be at Harper's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home until service time.
