The 1910 Census for Chicago, Illinois has a 52 year old, Susan Thirgrue/Shugrue, born in Indiana, was living with husband Thomas and children Daniel and Alfred. They were lodging in the home of John and Helen LETTS on Elmwood Avenue, Ward 3, Chicago (SD 1, ED 228, Sheet 15A). Susan and Thomas had each been married once, for 35 years, and Susan was shown as the mother of two living children.

In 1920, Susan Shugrue, age 61 and widowed, born in Ohio to parents from Pennsylvania and France can be found in the home of Christian and Mary Peterson of Denmark (44th Place, Third Ward, Chicago, SD 1 ED 171, Sheet 1A) . She was listed as a servant in their household, and her occupation was also shown as Servant, private family.

The wedding of Miss Fanny B. Cash and Vincent M. Cramer was solemnized yesterday at St. Mary's Catholic church, Rev. Father Dempsey officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Ida B. Cash of Taylor Terrace, and has a host of friends in this city where she has spent her girlhood. The ceremony was witnessed by but a few friends and relatives. The wedding breakfast was served at The Hotel St. Mark, after which Mr. and Mrs. Cramer left for Oklahoma City, where the groom is established in business and where they will reside.

A Requiem Mass for Vincent M. Cramer, who died Thursday at a Fremont convalescent home, will be offered at 10 a.m. today in St. Joseph's Church in Fremont. A native of Huntington, Ind., he was the husband of the late Sammie Cramer and brother of Trula Cowan of Mission San Jose. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. Burial will be in Irvington Memorial Cemetery, Fremont.

When he registered for the World War I Draft, he resided in Oklahoma City, as did his father, D. I Cramer. He was listed as Verne Henry Cramer, and was a Trac. Salesman for Jos. E. Baldin of Tuscon, Arizona. Verne was 5'8 3/4 inches tall, of medium build, and had brown eyes and dark hair. When he registered for the Draft in 1942 during World War II, he was a resident of Marin, California, and employed at the Mare Island Navy Yard. He cited Esther M. Cramer, living at the same address as he was, as a person who would always know his address.

He appears to have been married several times. In 1910 he is enumerated with an Etta Cramer, wife, in Alameda, CA. In 1920 he is enumerated with a younger Esther Cramer in Bexar County, TX. And he is buried with an Allie Scudday Graham Cramer in the 1955/1956 Nueces County, TX.
