    He was inducted into the US Army in Center, Texas and served in WW I to honorable discharge August 2, 1919. Nine months of his service was overseas in France with Company 109 Transportation Corps. Day is done, God is Nigh.

    His Texas Death Certificate confirms he was a son of F. J. Drear Haden and Minnie Bell McLaMore. He was shown as a retired engineer at Austin Brother Steel Co. Informant was his wife, Mrs. Maude Haden. Shown as veteran of WW I. His residence address was 5807 Caladium.

    In 1930, Julian and Maude were living in Dallas, sharing their home with her sister. He was shown as a structural engineer, in the construction business.

    In 1940, they were still residents of Dallas, sharing their home with 10 year old daughter Hilda. He reported he attended four years of college. Maude had completed 2 years of High School. Daughter Hilda was in Fifth grade. His occupation was engineer, building construction.
