Could she and Agnes Elizabeth be twins? The 1910 census shows both of them as age 12, born in November 1887. However, the Texas Death Certificate for Agnes instead lists Agnes as being born in November 1890.

Her tombstone was inscribed "Wife of E.L. Anderson-She was too good too gentle and fair to dwell in this cold world of care."

Ara married Ernest Lafitte Anderson on 29 Dec 1907 in Sabine County, Texas. Ernest (son of John Simon Anderson and Martha Ann "Mattie" Conn) was born on 3 Sep 1887 in Sabine County, Texas; died on 20 Jul 1963 in Dallas, Dallas County, Texas; was buried in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Sabine County, Texas. Simon "Pete" Anderson

Simon Elton "Pete" Anderson, 97, died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. He was born Nov. 3, 1908, in Hemphill as a son of the late Ernest L. and Ara Josephine (Clark) Anderson. He was a fifth generation Texan. On Dec. 30, 1933, he married Rosalie LEZE. They were married for 72 years. He served in the Army during World War II.

Pete joined the East Mayfield Baptist Church when he was nine years old. He was a member of Fisher Baptist Church in Fisher, Louisiana. He retired from the Lone Leaf Lumber Company in Fisher. He was a resident of Fisher from 1937 until moving to Hemphill Care Center on Jan. 17, 1998. Survivors: wife, Rosalie Anderson of Hemphill, sister, Vermell BRUST and husband Louis of Hemphill, and a brother, Lonnie G. Anderson and wife Barbara of Gilmer. Funeral services were held March 3 at Warren Meadows Funeral Home in Many, Louisiana. Interment was a Fisher Cemetery in Fisher. Services were under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
