Ken Harvey indicates that John William and Julia met in Alpine, where he had moved following the death of his first wife.

Lynell Cordell notes that the records pertaining to her death are inconsistent. "This looks to be John W.'s wife and the last residence was Houston but the last benefits were paid in Alpine. Maybe she went their to stay with her children? But then, if the TX Death Record is for the same Julia, she died in Kerr County."

Notes:

Ken Harvey indicates she died of the same thing that killed her mother. He might be mistaken, however, as her mother lived until the age ot 89. It was John's first wife that died young. It appears she was married and may have been the mother of the infant Mark Sale Chessman. She died a mere 10 days after he did, possibily from complications of childbirth.
