    A memorial service celebrating the life of Elaine Lawrence Love, was held March 23, 2002 at the Elwyn M. Gipson Memorial Chapel in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

    Elaine Lawrence Love, our beloved mother, died peacefully at her home in Austin on March 12, 2002.

    She is survived by four children: Frank Love and wife Cindy of Tonto Basin, Arizona, Kay Love Lucas and husband, Ken Lucas, Elizabeth Love Collins and husband, Ray Collin, all of Austin, Texas, and Teresa Love of Lufkin; three granddaughters, Teresa Wieldfelt and husband, John, Linda Voirin and husband Steve, and Kelly Love, all of Phoenix Arizona; two great-grandsons, Nathaniel Wieldfelt and Mathew Voirin, both of Phoenix, Arizona,; and many nieces and nephews.

    Services for Carolyn Laurence Love, 70, of Lufkin, were held July 3, 1999 in the Chapel of The Last Supper in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park with burial in the Garden of Memories Memorial park.

    Mrs. Love was the daughter to the late Arlie Adell (Clark) and John Samuel Laurence. Mrs. Love was a homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lufkin. She was a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, the National Audubon Society and the American Genealogical Society. She was an acccomplished pianist, and had been a resident of Lufkin all her life. She loved music, nature, all the beauty of life and above all, God.

    Survivors: husband of 55 years, William H. Love; sons, Mark Love and Ben Love; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Susan Love; daughter and son-in-law, Daphne and Bennie Latham; daughters, Jenifer Smith; Cynthia Love Freeman;"fourth son," Henry Guzman; grandchildren, Rodney Latham and wife Melissa, Cristi Nerren and husband Mark, Shellie Love, Laurence Love, Samuel Freeman, Brandon Love, Reanna Smith and Matthew Smith; great-grandchildren, Kelli Nerren and Corbin Love; sisters, Selma Garrett, Elaine L.     Funeral services for Dorothy Ann (Lawrence) Swor, 73, of Lufkin will be held June 1, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Kyle Campbell and Jim McDonald officiating. Interment will follow in the Fielder Memorial Cemetery. Dorothy passed away surrounded by her family at CHI St. Luke's Hospital in Lufkin, Texas, on May 30, 2016. From her birth on October 28, 1942 to her death on Monday, she nourished people around her with love, faith, and compassion. She was born in Lufkin, Texas to James Lee and Dorothy Lawrence. She graduated from Bel Air High School in El Paso in 1961, and was in the Top Ten of her class. She went on to graduate from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor's degree in Education and later earned her Master's in Education. Dorothy had a passion for teaching and making a difference in the lives of her students. She taught for thirty-seven years in public schools throughout the area as well as Angelina College and Sylvan Learning Center. Her students were extremely important to her, and it thrilled her soul each time she was able to reconnect with them. In later years, she had a heart for Special Education. So many students left a mark on her heart and she on theirs. Dorothy also had a love of genealogy and was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution and Daughters of the Republic of Texas. Family connection was so important to her. Music touched her soul and times spent singing with her family and friends were some of her favorite. She was a member of the Loop 287 church of Christ. Left to honor Dorothy, and remember her love, is her beloved husband of fifty-two years, Vernon Swor of Huntington, Texas; her children and children's spouses, who she felt like were her own, Karen and Dan Eddins of Lufkin, Kevin and Andrea Swor of Diboll, and Scott and Kristi DiStefano of Longview; grandchildren Ashley Eddins, Daniel Eddins and his wife Lisa, John David Eddins, Cheyenne Swor, Kristopher DiStefano, and Kaitlyn DiStefano; sister Susan Wohleking; brothers-in-law RV Swor and Rodney Swor; sister-in-law Glenda Swor; numerous nieces and nephews, many lifelong friends, and many who knew her as "Gran". She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers-in-law Mike Wohleking and Leland Swor. Pallbearers will be the deacons of the Loop 287 church of Christ. Honorary pallbearers will be Dorothy's past students who she loved so much. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Multiple Myeloma Foundation, 383 Main Avenue, 5th Floor, Norwalk, Connecticut 06851 or a charity of your choice .
